The Territory Government is developing a 10-Year Museums Master Plan for Darwin and Palmerston.
The Museums Master Plan will provide a framework and direction for the Northern Territory’s investment in cultural infrastructure in Darwin and Palmerston, including museums, galleries, libraries, art centres, and keeping places.
The Museums Master Plan will build on previous consultation work that has been done to identify and prioritise the Territory’s investment in arts and cultural facilities.
Local contractor Hames Sharley will commence consultation with stakeholders including organisations and the community regarding priorities and future investment in cultural infrastructure to develop a draft 10-Year Museums Master Plan for Darwin and Palmerston.
Territorians have an exciting opportunity to help define the priorities and future investment in cultural facilities. The consultation period is expected be completed in September 2017.
